thus it was now in a loop. I then left it it. it has now tried doing it several times with no success. I have since used windows troubleshooter this had me downloading most. recent kb, this was already installed on my computer. So now I am stuck I can still use computer but still have feature update v there for me to retry but still fails to install whenever I retry it. I am now hoping. Downloaded Windows Update temporary files sometimes interfere with new attempts and updates.

When the PC restarts, it sometimes has to close because of some error. To be honest, I don't understand what it says. It's a string of code. It just says that it will have to restart again. Once that starts, it says something about restoring an older version of Windows. Then it finally gets restarted, but in a matter of hours I get the message that my PC needs to restart. If I am in the room when that happens, it allows me to select a time.
If I'm not, then it schedules one on it's own. I personally think that it was the update or server fault which keeps getting failure many times. It happens many times with maany updatesnot talking about single update from microsoft.

as you say that should i delete folders and files in download folder, would resolve my issue Well, I have the same issue. My PC just keeps restarting 2 or 3 times a day. I can't make it stop. It never successfully downloads the update.
